BroadChain has learned that on March 20, a HK$100 million gold heist took place at the Peninsula Plaza in Hung Hom, Hong Kong. The robbers made off with 73 gold bars, each weighing one kilogram.

According to reports, a man posing as a buyer entered a jewelry store to conduct a transaction. During the exchange, two men and a woman entered the store, working in concert with the "buyer" to load the gold bars into suitcases before making a swift escape. Police used surveillance footage to track the suspects and subsequently arrested four men and one woman in Central and Tai Po. All 73 gold bars were recovered from a vehicle in Tai Po.
