BroadChainBroadChainTime: 2026-04-25

BroadChain learned that on April 25 at 22:02, Aave, together with protocols such as EtherFi, KelpDAO, LayerZero, and Compound, submitted a governance proposal to the Arbitrum DAO, requesting the release of ETH frozen by the Arbitrum Security Council due to the rsETH incident on April 18.

If the proposal passes, the relevant funds will be injected into the cross-protocol joint recovery plan DeFi United to restore rsETH reserves and compensate affected users. Meanwhile, Aave DAO separately proposed contributing 25,000 ETH to the plan to accelerate market stabilization. The proposal is currently open for community discussion and voting.
