BroadChain has learned that on March 20, according to a report by The Information, cryptocurrency hardware wallet maker Ledger has appointed former Circle executive John Andrews as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This move is seen as a key step in preparing for a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Andrews previously served as Head of Capital Markets and Investor Relations at stablecoin issuer Circle, where he played a central role in its own IPO preparations.
In a related development, Ledger is setting up a new office in New York to drive its expansion efforts in the U.S. market. Andrews noted that, considering the current market volatility, the timeline for an IPO could be subject to delays.
