World Launches AI Agent Identity Toolkit Integrating Coinbase x402 Protocol

BroadChain has learned that on March 17, The Block reported that World has launched AgentKit, a developer toolkit for the x402 protocol.

The tool allows users verified by World to authorize their World ID to AI agents. This enables those agents to prove to websites and platforms that they are "backed by real humans while preserving privacy."

World ID is a cryptographic proof of a user's unique identity.

Using AgentKit, users' autonomous AI agents can demonstrate their authenticity to platforms when performing actions like making payments or accessing services.

The x402 protocol, developed by Coinbase, is built for AI agent payments and transactions. Its V2 version had already processed over 100 million payments at launch.
