Former Chief Economist of Northeast Securities Fu Peng Joins New Huo Group as Chief Economist

BroadChain has learned that on April 20th, Fu Peng, the former chief economist of Northeast Securities, has recently officially joined the Hong Kong-listed company New Huo Group (1611.HK), assuming the role of Chief Economist.

Fu Peng served as the Chief Economist of the Research Institute at Northeast Securities starting in 2020 and left the position on April 30, 2025.

After joining New Huo Group, Fu Peng will primarily be responsible for macroeconomic research and providing strategic analysis for institutional client investments.

The single largest shareholder of New Huo Group is Huobi founder Li Lin, who holds a 29.82% stake through the family office Avenir.

Currently, New Huo Group has transformed into a digital asset private banking-level service institution, with business covering account opening, trading, custody, asset management, boutique investment advisory, and crypto trusts.
