China Halts Meta's Acquisition of AI Project Manus, Makes Prohibition Decision on Investment According to Law

BroadChain learned that on April 27, the Foreign Investment Security Review Working Mechanism Office of China's National Development and Reform Commission made a decision to prohibit investment in Meta's acquisition of the AI large model project Manus in accordance with laws and regulations, requiring the parties involved to revoke the acquisition transaction.

It is understood that the Foreign Investment Security Review Working Mechanism Office is established within China's National Development and Reform Commission, jointly led by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce.
