CoW Swap Upgrades Solver Bidding Mechanism to Optimize Trading Matching Efficiency

BroadChainBroadChainTime: 2026-04-24

BroadChain learned that at 19:16 on April 24, CoW DAO announced that CoW Swap has completed two solver infrastructure upgrades aimed at strengthening the bidding mechanism and optimizing the execution process. The first upgrade is "hiding bids before the deadline," meaning that during the auction, solvers cannot view each other's quotes and can only submit blind bids before the deadline. This helps maintain strategic independence and improve user trading outcomes.

The second upgrade removes the Uniform Clearing Price (UCP) constraint, which was considered to add restrictions at the system level without providing additional benefits to users. After removal, the solver logic is simplified, allowing optimal solutions to win more efficiently. The team stated that this move aims to enhance matching efficiency while maintaining price consistency among users for the same trading pair.
