Volo Protocol Hacked, Loses Approximately $3.5 Million
BroadChain News, April 22, 16:16, according to CoinDesk, Volo Protocol recently suffered a hacker attack, with three vaults holding WBTC, XAUm, and USDC respectively losing approximately $3.5 million in total. This marks another DeFi protocol breach following the KelpDAO security vulnerability.
The attack occurred just days after the KelpDAO hack, highlighting the persistently high security risks in the DeFi sector. The hacker extracted assets from multiple Volo Protocol pools through a vulnerability, though the specific attack method has not yet been disclosed.
This incident once again underscores the vulnerability of DeFi protocols in terms of asset custody and smart contract security. As the scale of cross-chain assets and synthetic assets expands, similar attacks could further impact market confidence.
