BroadChain has learned that Circle announced on March 18 the appointment of Kirk Koenigsbauer to its Board of Directors. He will also join the Board's Compensation Committee and Risk Committee.
Kirk Koenigsbauer currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft's Experiences & Devices division, overseeing core products such as Microsoft 365 and Copilot. With over 30 years at Microsoft, he brings deep expertise in global enterprise software and cloud services expansion. He led the cloud transformation of Office 365 and played a key role in building Microsoft's security business framework.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated that Kirk Koenigsbauer's extensive experience in building mission-critical software platforms, expanding global security businesses, and managing enterprise operations will provide significant support as Circle strengthens its risk management, governance capabilities, and global enterprise services strategy.
