BroadChain has learned that at 09:16 on April 23, there is a new development in the KelpDAO attack incident. According to on-chain analyst Ember (@EmberCN), the attacker spent about a day and a half to essentially complete the swapping of the stolen assets on the Ethereum chain. A total of approximately 75,700 ETH (worth about $175 million) was exchanged for BTC via the cross-chain protocol THORChain.
This large-scale asset transfer has brought significant business growth to THORChain. Data shows that the related transactions contributed approximately $800 million in trading volume to the protocol and generated about $910,000 in platform fee revenue.
