According to BroadChain, at 15:16 on April 23, Aurise Foundation launched a new yield-bearing gold token XAUE on the Ethereum network. This token is designed to serve as a yield treasury for Tether Gold (XAU₮), primarily targeting compliant institutional participants. Through quantitative strategies and institutional lending, XAUE introduces crypto-native yield opportunities for traditionally non-yielding gold assets, thereby transforming them into programmable and capital-efficient on-chain assets.
Currently, ecosystem partners Aurelion and Antalpha have jointly contributed 16,052 XAU₮ to the protocol, valued at approximately $76 million. XAUE employs an exchange rate growth model, meaning the gold value anchored by each token will increase as protocol yields accumulate. In the future, the protocol plans to integrate with more decentralized exchanges and other DeFi protocols.
