Web3 is a young and rapidly evolving ecosystem that the world is embracing at an unprecedented pace. In recent years, Web3’s explosive growth has drawn attention from companies and individuals across diverse sectors worldwide. Insights from interviews with Fortune 500 executives reveal a clear roadmap for the future: nearly 94% of surveyed Fortune 500 executives reported having blockchain project plans, and 89% believe Web3 innovations over the next decade will define business for the next century. According to Crunchbase data, total investment in Web3 reached over $23 billion in 2022.
These figures indicate that Web3 is gradually entering the mainstream and gaining global acceptance. As an emerging industry, however, many people still lack a comprehensive understanding of Web3. To address this gap, Web3 incubator OnePiece Labs has partnered with Harvard alumni entrepreneurs to launch the forward-looking and leadership-oriented “Web3 Revolution” lecture series—a multi-month initiative under its Web3 Thought Leadership Series. This series is open to all individuals interested in Web3, whether newcomers or seasoned experts.

This groundbreaking series offers participants access to specialized expertise on Web3 technologies from Harvard alumni and other world-class experts, who will share their insights into Web3’s transformative potential for society. Hosted by partners KJ Jia and Murray Newlands, the series is co-organized with Yintai Investment LLC. ChainTimes serves as the marketing partner, while MetaStone.Group is a strategic partner.
The “Web3 Revolution” series begins on March 23. For more information, please visit:

KJ Jia, Partner at OnePiece Labs, stated: “Through this collaboration, OnePiece Labs brings its deep industry knowledge to Harvard alumni entrepreneurs. As a Silicon Valley investor focused exclusively on Web3, we observe innovative technologies and visionary founders daily—giving us unparalleled insight into the future of this field. Our perspective is holistic, and we provided the first institutional support to many startups that have since become unicorns.”
Murray Newlands, Partner at OnePiece Labs, added: “Silicon Valley leads the world in technological innovation. Its first rise began in the 1970s, driven by silicon transistors essential to modern microprocessors. Web3 and AI are the two most exciting advancements in recent years. At its core, Web3 embodies the democratization and decentralization of information—and we’re thrilled to share our perspectives with Harvard alumni entrepreneurs.”
Speakers:
Chia Jeng Yang, Investor at Pantera Capital, said: “As a member of the Harvard Business School Blockchain Club, I’ve long been excited to see numerous Harvard Business School graduates and Harvard alumni pioneering new frontiers in blockchain and crypto.”
“These events present an excellent opportunity to share deeper knowledge about the blockchain and crypto industry both within and beyond the Harvard community. Introducing industry professionals to market trends, business models, and key players is an effective way to onboard mainstream builders into blockchain and crypto.”
Brandon Hoffman, Managing Partner at Sunset Ventures, said: “I’m delighted to speak in this series as part of my ongoing effort to introduce Web3 to Harvard students and alumni, investors, and founders. These events will help participants better understand the next era of the internet and connect with others who share similar passion and curiosity. I hope attendees gain awareness of the breakthrough innovations underway and recognize the broader opportunities ahead. I also believe they’ll realize that Web3 is far more than speculative investment in volatile cryptocurrencies. I anticipate regulatory decisions will begin to take shape, clarifying more precisely what blockchain and digital assets can—and cannot—do. This will positively influence market sentiment and provide much-needed guidance for builders.”
